Happy Birthday

The day that we wait for a whole year
When we wish to be wished by our near and dear
A day when we want to be pampered and loved
When we want to be with our beloved

Beginning of a new chapter in our life
When we start it with a candle cake and knife
When our hairs grey a little
When we wish no one notices them a jot or tittle

That special day is yours today
Wish you a very happy birthday
May all your dreams come to life
May your life be devoid of strife

Happy Hug Day

Doctor doctor I need a pill
Spirits are down and mind is ill
Let me tell you the secret to be happy
All you need is a "Jaadu ki Jhappi"

On Leaving School

(written on my last day in school)

Thirteen years I never knew

How fast they passed.

It seems yesterday was my first at school,

And today is my last.

Can I ever forget,

The love of my teachers?

They made me grow in knowledge,

Richer and richer.

Can I forget my friends

Who shared all my griefs and joys?

With whom I played and laughed in glee,

And was punished for making noise.

All good things must come to an end,

And so has my school-life,

Looking back I find it was

Of the most wonderful type.

Dream Girl

When oft upon my cot I lie,

Her face flashes in my mind’s eye.

Those azure eyes full of love,

Those rosy cheeks, that smile of Jove.

Darker than night, her long black hair,

Her face gleaming like a flare.

Those lips are like petals of rose,

How elegant is her slender nose.

A fairy she is, on my word I swear,

A budding rose she seems in her white attire.

That graceful walk, that lovely look,

A girl with a heart clear as a brook.

Flowers blooms at her pleasant smile,

To hear her voice, cuckoos stop a while.

Her beauty puts the moon to shame,

So cute, so delicate a dame.

That beauty so divine,

Oh! I wish she were mine.
