away

Its a lovely sunny day
The weather is cheerful, bright and gay
Flowers prancing in the breeze
Birds chirping in the trees

But my heart is without rest
Like a bird away from its nest.
Back home i long to fly,
Counting days as they go by.

Still it is a lovely sunny day
The canvas of nature is vivid and gay
The gloom of a single heart
Cannot tear it apart.

The Candle

When the big black demon of darkness
shrouds the entire land,
Light hides somewhere for fear
and to darkness there's no end.

Its tiny flickering light,
Like a lone brave warrior
stands undaunted, unmoved,
trying to overcome the dark barrier.

It is like a ray of hope
in the deep darkness of gloom,
When the biting cold stings,
and there's no flower to bloom.

The glow of its tiny flame,
is a symbol of utmost will,
So fragile as a blade of grass,
yet so mighty like a hill.

Sunset

After a long burning day,

The sun is set to rest

To prepare for another battle

A new day, a new test.

The last arrow in his quiver is gone,

Darkness has overcome

The battlefield is bloody

The lone warrior tired and torn.

Birds are returning to their nest,

Singing shrill and loud,

The shy moon is over the horizon,

Veiled in a crimson cloud.
